Using Autodesk Navisworks, we were able to take the client’s existing 3D CAD files and import them into a 3D virtual environment whilst retaining all of their metadata. This 3D visualisation of the plant assisted in the safe operation of a new plant through the provision of special training modules.

Users were able to navigate throughout the virtual plant in real time, highlight or isolate particular systems within the plant, view information about the selected piece of equipment, and perform searches to easily find a particular piece of equipment via its properties.
